Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Cogzera browser extension, the cogzera.com website, and any related services (together, the “Service”), provided by Cogzera (“we”, “us”). By installing the extension, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Cogzera

You must be at least 16 years old to use Cogzera. If you use Cogzera on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” refers to both you and the organization.

2. Your account

  • You need an account (email/password or Google sign-in) to use paid plans and to sync credits and settings.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Tell us promptly at support@cogzera.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Plans, credits, and billing

  • Cogzera offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Basic, Elite, and Ultra), billed monthly or annually. Current pricing and included credits are shown on our Pricing page.
  • Paid plans include a monthly allotment of “credits” consumed by AI-powered features. Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period unless we state otherwise.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our payment processor and, for many purchases, the merchant of record. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle’s buyer terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your Account page; cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period, except as described in our Refund Policy.
  • We may change plan pricing or included credits going forward. If a change affects an active subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice before it takes effect on your next renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Cogzera for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • Use the extension to scrape, harvest, or extract other people’s personal data without a lawful basis;
  • Attempt to bypass credit limits, resell API access, or use automated means to abuse the Service;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the extension, except where permitted by law;
  • Use Cogzera to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, or intended to deceive others (e.g., automated spam or impersonation);
  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or normal operation of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. How the extension works with your browsing

Cogzera is a browser agent: when you actively use one of its features (chat, page actions, email drafting, grammar checks, the universal AI-reply button, search-page AI answers, and similar tools), the relevant page content, your input, or attachments you provide are sent to our backend and, in turn, to the AI model that generates the response, as described in our Privacy Policy. Cogzera only acts on pages and fields where you invoke a feature — it does not browse or act on your behalf without that trigger, unless you have explicitly started an agent task and it is actively running.

6. AI-generated content

Cogzera uses third-party AI models to generate replies, summaries, drafts, and other content. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing anything Cogzera generates — especially emails, documents, or data you plan to send or rely on — before using it. Cogzera is a productivity tool, not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.

7. Intellectual property

  • Cogzera, our logo, and the extension’s software are owned by Cogzera and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
  • You retain ownership of the content you input into Cogzera (page content you act on, prompts, attachments, drafts). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms.

8. Third-party sites and services

Some Cogzera features operate inside third-party websites and services (for example, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, or Google Search). Your use of those sites remains subject to their own terms. Cogzera is not responsible for the availability, content, or policies of third-party sites, and features that depend on a third-party site’s layout may occasionally break if that site changes.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cogzera will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim arose, or USD $50 if you are on the Free plan. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Cogzera and delete your account at any time from the Account page or by emailing support@cogzera.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the Service (or features of it) with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, notify you by email or an in-extension notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
